Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for Garden Glow. It should be read alongside our Terms of Service.

1. Overview

1.1 Garden Glow is a digital subscription service providing AI-generated visualisations and PDF proposal exports.

1.2 Because the Service can be used immediately and includes digital outputs, refunds are generally not offered once the Service has been used in a billing period, except where required by UK law or where we choose to provide a discretionary refund.

2. Cancelling your subscription

2.1 You can cancel at any time via your account settings or the Stripe Customer Portal.

2.2 Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will keep access until then.

2.3 We do not normally refund unused time remaining in a billing period.

3. Free trial cancellations

3.1 The Agency trial lasts 7 days and requires a payment card at signup.

3.2 During the trial you have access to 30 AI generation requests. If you use all 30 before the trial ends, you will need to upgrade to a paid plan to continue generating.

3.3 You can cancel any time during the trial and you will not be charged, provided you cancel before the trial ends.

3.4 If you do not cancel, the subscription converts to Agency Monthly (£129/month) at the end of the trial.

4. Statutory rights for UK Consumers (cooling-off)

4.1 If you are a Consumer, you may have a legal right to cancel certain online contracts within 14 days.

4.2 Digital services and immediate access: where you request that the Service starts immediately, you may lose the 14-day right to cancel once performance begins, provided you have given the required acknowledgements.

4.3 When you start using the Service (for example, running generations or exporting PDFs), you are requesting immediate performance and acknowledging that your statutory cancellation right may be lost, to the extent permitted by law and as presented at checkout and/or before first use.

5. Refunds (general rule)

5.1 No refunds after use: Once you have used the Service in a billing period (including generating images or exporting PDFs), we do not normally offer refunds for that billing period.

5.2 No refunds for non-use: We do not refund simply because you did not use the Service during the period, except where required by law.

6. Discretionary refunds

6.1 We may consider discretionary refunds on a case-by-case basis (for example, exceptional circumstances or clear billing errors).

6.2 If we grant a discretionary refund, we may also terminate or restrict access to prevent abuse.

7. Billing errors

7.1 If you believe you were billed incorrectly, contact support@gardenglow.app promptly with: the email on your account; invoice number(s) (if available); a short description of the issue.

7.2 If we confirm an error, we will correct it, which may include issuing a refund or credit where appropriate.

8. Payment failures, automatic retries, disputes and chargebacks

8.1 For paid subscribers, we provide a 3-day grace period for payment failures as described in the Terms of Service.

8.2 Automatic retries: Our payment processor (Stripe) will automatically retry failed payments several times over approximately 3–4 weeks. If a retry succeeds, you will be charged and your subscription will continue. If you do not wish to be charged, cancel your subscription before a retry succeeds.

8.3 If all retries fail, your subscription will be cancelled and your account downgraded to the free tier.

8.4 If you initiate a chargeback or dispute, we may immediately cancel your subscription and downgrade you to the free tier.

8.5 Stripe may charge a dispute fee (commonly £15, but may vary). Where permitted, we may pass on reasonable dispute-related costs where a dispute is made in bad faith or is unfounded.

9. How to request a refund or raise a cancellation issue

Email support@gardenglow.app with: your account email; the reason for the request; supporting details (screenshots or invoices where relevant).
